Statement

My education at the University of Tampa provided a transformative foundation, opening my eyes to the limitless possibilities at the intersection of creative practice and technical implementation. Blending a B.F.A. in New Media with a minor in Computer Science allowed me to study a unique niche shaped by both the digital arts and computing curriculums. Advanced courses like Creative Coding (FMX 310), UI/UX (FMX 311), Advanced Data Structures and Algorithms (CSC 301), and Software Design and Engineering (CSC 230) gave me the tools not just to design media, but to build it from the ground up.

While the complex coding requirements developed my analytical problem-solving skills, my New Media mentorship emphasized critical thinking about user experience and aesthetic execution. This authentic synthesis of technical proficiency and intuitive media design has become my greatest strength. My portfolio demonstrates a clear capacity to move beyond static concepts and build fully functional, responsive media systems that are both highly technical and artistically engaging. I excel at translating abstract, creative goals into robust code structures; a skill proven by the alignment between my back-end computer science projects and my interactive front-end installations.
